The Mass is the primary place of intimate encounter with the Risen Jesus here at St. Thomas Apostle. Why does the Church ask those who make up the Body of Christ to gather at least once a week to receive his living Presence in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass? Because “without me, you can do nothing” (Jn 15:5). This is the humble recognition of those who seek to love the Father by “keeping Holy the Sabbath” every Sunday.

"May the Virgin Mary help us to contemplate Jesus every day, Gift of the Father for us, and to allow ourselves to be involved by Him in the movement of gift, with joyful wonder, so that our whole life becomes a praise of God in the service of brethren.”
Pope Francis
Feast of the Presentation 2020
Soul of Christ sanctify me; Body of Christ, save me; Blood of Christ, inebriate me; Water from the side of Christ, wash me; Passion of Christ, strengthen me; O Good Jesus, hear me; Within your wounds, hide me; Never permit me to be separated from you; From the wicked enemy, defend me; In the hour of my death, call me; And bid me to come to your side, that with your saints I may praise you, for ever and ever. Amen
